About the Artist

I’m Lana Buisson, a Louisiana-based painter creating expressive, contemporary, color-rich works inspired by Southern moments, vintage charm, faith, and the rhythm of life in Louisiana. My paintings capture the feeling of home—the lush greens, magnolias, tropical textures, and timeless character found throughout the South.

I’m drawn to a mix of wildlife, waterways, gardens, architecture, and faith that defines Louisiana. My palette leans bold yet balanced, often inspired by 60s and 70s tones—avocado greens, ochres, dusty turquoise, and muted coral. Loose, expressive brushwork and layered color bring movement, warmth, and personality to each painting.

I’ve painted since childhood, and it has always been a place of peace, gratitude, and creativity. Through motherhood, I’ve learned to slow down and notice beauty in the ordinary that we at times overlook. My hope is that my work feels expressive, soulful, and joyful—a little nostalgic and a touch of funky Southern charm that makes you smile.
