About the Artist

I’m Lana Buisson, a Louisiana-based artist creating expressive, painterly works inspired by faith, and the architecture and rhythm of the South. My paintings capture the feeling of home…the lush greens, magnolias, tropical textures, and timeless charm found throughout Louisiana.

Alongside nature, I’m drawn to the eclectic mix of architecture, faith, and vintage character that defines the south…from weathered shutters and wrought-iron balconies to pastel walls and hidden courtyards. My faith keeps me grounded, and I love exploring the connection between the sacred and the everyday, finding beauty, light, and a touch of personality in both.

My palette often leans bold but balanced, mixing vintage 60’s and 70’s tones from earthy “avocado” greens, ochres, dusty turquoise, and muted coral. Each painting balances structure with looseness, where brushstrokes stay free and full of intention.

I’ve painted since childhood, and it’s always been a space of peace, gratitude, and creativity. Through motherhood, I’ve learned to slow down and notice beauty in the ordinary, and that perspective has deepened my love for color, light, and joy. I want my art to feel expressive, soulful, and vibrant, with a touch of funky charm that makes you smile.
