About the Artist

I’m Lana Buisson, a Louisiana-based painter creating expressive, contemporary, color-rich works inspired by Southern moments, vintage charm, faith, and the rhythm of life in Louisiana. My paintings capture the feeling of home—the lush greens, magnolias, tropical textures, and timeless character found throughout the South.

I’m drawn to the eclectic mix of architecture, nature, and faith that defines Louisiana—from weathered shutters and wrought-iron balconies to pastel walls, hidden courtyards, and sacred spaces. I love exploring the connection between the sacred and the everyday, finding beauty, light, and personality in both.

My palette leans bold yet balanced, often inspired by vintage 60s and 70s tones—avocado greens, ochres, dusty turquoise, and muted coral. Each painting balances structure with looseness, with expressive brushwork and layered color bringing movement and life to the surface.

I’ve painted since childhood, and it has always been a place of peace, gratitude, and creativity. Through motherhood, I’ve learned to slow down and notice beauty in the ordinary, deepening my love for color, light, and joyful moments. I want my work to feel expressive, soulful, and vibrant—with a touch of funky Southern charm that makes you smile.
